Great Photos (greph)

Everyone in the United States is aware of the devastation caused to New Orleans by Hurrican Katrina in 2005. I can remember seeing tons of photos and videos in the days and weeks following the tragic disaster. Most of what I remember seeing on the news was about New Orleans itself. But, about 100 Kilometers east of New Orleans, the Chandeleur Islands faced near-total devastation from Katrina. This amazing picture (an others on the USGS website) shows one of the islands before and after Katrina.
