Hubble Ultra Deep Field

I have been excited by space since I was a kid. Whether it be sci-fi like Star Wars, or real-world like Hubble Space Telescope, the infinite expanse of space continues to excite me. NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day website always has awesome pictures, like this one.

The following photo, known has Hubble Ultra Deep Field, is the photo that resulted when the Hubble Space Telescope was pointed at the same dark point in space for nearly three months! This photo is believed to be looking so far away that some of the light had been traveling for 13 billion years before finally landing on the lens Hubble of hubble. So, in essence, this photo shows what that point in space looked like when the universe was still a baby of a billion or so years old.
